Doug Simonds is the worship leader at Cornerstone. He holds church music degrees from Shorter University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Doug retired from full-time music ministry in 2017, having served Southern Baptist Churches in Texas, Louisiana, Florida and Georgia. Doug and his wife, Beth Simonds, a retired school administrator, have been married for 45 years. They have two daughters and three grandsons.
